When working with different materials and budgets, a smart artist knows how and when to adapt under pressure. It became a game exceeding expectations when creating the desired last looks. Where most would shy away from those types of experiences, I embraced the lessons. Now, I revel at the thought of creating that wow factor with minimal time and effort without ever compromising quality or my craft. I studied literature, music theory, performing arts, and film analysis before beginning high school and was always relentless in pursuing creative art and expression. The ability to transmute energy and emotions became my superpower when I learned how my purpose and passion could be intertwined at any capacity necessary. When asked, 'When did you decide to become an artist?' the answer was simple, I always was, although the mediums always shifted. As a professional MUA, I was regularly invited to do makeup for local artists' videos and photoshoots and shied away from being in front of the camera. The more versatile my work allowed me to be, the more fulfilment I found from the industry as I was always eager and willing to learn. Once I dropped out of college, I was committed to becoming an expert in my field. Since I couldn't afford to go school specifically for film and television, I focused on getting as much hands-on experience as possible while in cosmetology school at Aveda. I became self taught in makeup and special effects and watched YouTube every night for assistance as I experimented to learn alternatives to the methods I saw with cheaper materials. Being able to work with limited time and materials was a challenge that allowed me to always remain a step ahead. My goal is to further my career in this industry so that I may continue pouring into others via mentorship that wish to follow my journey and teach them that with persistence and resilience, hard work ultimately takes you further, regardless of the lack of resources present or your surroundings. I aspire to lead by example as I continue on my path.Credits & Projects·2017: Sanitatum·2017: The Science of Youth·2019: The Beach·2018: Conversations with the Devil
